Silas Peterson, CFP®, joined Financial Partners in January 2022 and serves as a Financial Advisor, Partner, and Chief Compliance Officer. He works with individuals and families approaching retirement, living in retirement, or navigating major financial transitions. He helps clients see how decisions around investments, retirement income, Social Security, Medicare, taxes, and estate planning fit together, so they can move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Silas is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and is completing a Master of Personal Financial Planning through the College for Financial Planning. He earned a Master of Arts in Eastern Classics from St. John’s College and a bachelor’s degree in French from Portland State University. His broad liberal arts background and continuing professional education reflect a lifelong interest in learning—an especially useful disposition in a field where tax laws, markets, regulations, and planning strategies continually evolve.
Before joining Financial Partners, Silas spent nearly two decades leading The Hire Firm, a New Mexico recruiting and staffing company. That experience taught him the importance of listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, and helping people make important decisions with confidence. He remains a co-owner of the company.
Silas has served the community in several leadership roles, including Chair of the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, President of the Northern New Mexico Human Resources Association, and President of the Rotary Club of Santa Fe Centro.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Silas has called Santa Fe home since 2001. Outside the office, he enjoys life with his wife, Abby, their daughter, Calla, and a houseful of pets. He spends his free time reading, listening to music, learning guitar, traveling, and planning the family’s next adventure.
